What led you to pursue a career in manufacturing?
While I was not initially pursuing a career in manufacturing, I am very glad how things turned out. I was led to aerospace through a temp agency, yet now I have found myself working here for quite some time.
What has your journey been like?
My journey has been a very interesting one. Growing up, I had always been interested in the medical field. From my childhood up until now, every single day has been something totally different and exciting. I am taking every day as it comes, enjoying everything it has to offer.
While I was skeptical about manufacturing and aerospace initially, I have grown to become more and more interested every single day, as I am embracing the opportunity to learn something new.
What have you learned about yourself?
I have learned a great deal about myself during my time here, but I feel like what most captivates my career up to this point is that I have the ability to do anything. While this wasn’t my initial interest or skill set, it has become clear to me that no matter what I do, if I work hard and embrace challenges and can accomplish anything put in front of me.
Do you have any advice for people thinking about a career in manufacturing?
Just go for it. Be involved and excited in whatever you do. Even if it’s not required, get as much training as you can and just enjoy the learning process. Aerospace is an exciting business that changes every single day, and you just have to take it as it comes.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy meditation and tapping into my spirituality. Open-mindedness and self-progression make me feel as if I am becoming a better, stronger person every single day.
