Q&A

What led you to pursue a career in manufacturing?

I loved the idea of being able to draw an object and then going to the machines and creating it.

What has your journey been like?

It has been, thankfully, pretty good. There have been a few challenges, but I’m learning from them.

What have you learned about yourself?

I have learned that I can get through any challenges even if I don’t think I can. I learned to find my voice and not doubt myself.

Do you have any advice for people interested in a career in manufacturing?

Go for it! You won’t know until you try it. I wasn’t sure when I first heard about it and I tried it and I loved it. There’s so many areas within manufacturing you can try — operator, engineer, quality, sales, shipping, assembly, and so much more.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy painting, crafts (crochet, embroidery), and spending time with my family.
