Q&A

What led you to pursue a career in manufacturing?

Looking for female power and leadership.

What has your journey been like?

My journey was rough growing up. Hanging with the wrong crowds, doing the wrong things, and just not listening. After touring ACMT my senior year, I felt I found a path worth being on.

I took the chance to apply for the position opening in purchasing and I got it. I still do a little production coordinator work until I find a suitable replacement. Now I know almost everything from the beginning to the end of our process.

What have you learned about yourself?

I’ve learned how capable I am both mentally and physically. I’ve learned that being true to yourself and others will only elevate you.

Do you have any advice for people interested in a career in manufacturing?

Manufacturing is not dirty like it was in the 1960s. Manufacturing is now high-tech.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to get outside to enjoy nature and read a new book every once in a while.
