Q&A

What led you to pursue a career in manufacturing?

My dad influenced me to make this career choice. After watching me grow up, seeing my interests, and noticing my skills, he recommended I look into manufacturing. After learning more about the industry and the types of careers available, I agreed.

What has your journey been like?

I graduated from high school and began taking classes at Asnuntuck Community College toward a certification in manufacturing. I found out about the position at Atlas and started work here a few months ago.

What have you learned about yourself?

I am good at working with my hands. I can build incredible things with them — like airplanes.

Do you have any advice for people thinking about a career in manufacturing?

Take a course, and if it interests you, you can work for a company like Atlas.

What do you do in your free time?

I’m an artist. I like to make realistic drawings using pencil and acrylic paint. I keep a sketch pad of my work as well.
